Being a Community Interest Company, each year The Circle needs to demonstrate its impact on the community it serves.
We have launched our 4th Social Impact Report and celebrated our 5th year in business. After another challenging year the team have shown tremendous resilience and determination, this report really demonstrates the growth of our services and team.
Our ‘More Than Profit’ approach is needed now more than ever, business is changing and functioning for profit alone is no longer enough. Driven by consumer demand, and the non-negotiable need to address sustainability, companies are committing to outcomes beyond profit.
We place equal value on income and impact and our latest report is a demonstration of this. It evidences the work we have carried out and the effect it has had on individuals, businesses, organisations and communities across the world.
On Thursday 25th we launched our report with our annual event. Returning once again online, the event saw the Chair of The Circle, Donald McPherson introduce and welcome our guests as well as Kirsty our Founder and CEO. We then have a wealth of speakers including Eddie Baines from the National Lottery Community Fund, Marco Notarangelo from The Violet Community Trust. We then had an exclusive performance from The Circle Dundee’s tenant, Uppertunity before the break. Jenny, the Academy Manager introduces Mike Fletcher of HardKore.Inc an academy graduate of cohort 4. The event is rounded up by Kate Pickering our Marketing and Communications manager showcasing our brand new website and Tomasz Fecinski-Gawel from our site in Easterhouse, Glasgow, giving us an update on our expansion.
