Job Title – General Assistant
The Role
Based within The Circle Glasgow team, you will work under the guidance of the Hub Manager across various aspects of the business. You are supporting where appropriate including covering reception, helping with essential cleaning duties or office admin tasks. As this is a development role, you will learn on the job as you go.
Duties
Key
- Make sure that the premises are clean, tidy and safe to use.
- Liaising with people who use the building.
- Storing equipment and supplies safely.
- Ensuring disabled access to the building where necessary.
- Ensuring wash areas and toilet areas are regularly replenished and kept clean and tidy
- Ensure all communal areas are clean tidy and replenished after each break time
- Office administration including scanning, filing, document management, research
- Organising meetings and diary management
- Maintaining internal records for tenants and liaising with appropriate
- Minute taking for meetings
Job Title – Cleaner
The Role
Based within The Circle Glasgow team, you will work under the guidance of the Hub Manager across all aspects of facilities within the organisation including cleaning offices, training rooms and washrooms. As this is a development role, you will learn on the job as you go.
Duties
Key
- Make sure that the premises are clean, tidy and safe to use.
- Liaising with people who use the building.
- Storing equipment and supplies safely.
- Ensuring disabled access to the building where necessary.
- Ensuring wash areas and toilet areas are regularly replenished and kept clean and tidy
- Ensure all communal areas are clean, tidy and replenished after each break time.
- Maintaining adequate stock levels of cleaning products.
- Cleaning The Circle’s office including desks, printers, phones and keyboards.
Job Details for both roles
Location – The Circle, 69 – 71 Aberdalgie Road, Easterhouse, Glasgow, G34 9HJ
Hours – 30 hours per week, shift-based including some evening and weekend hours. No overtime will be paid but a time off in lieu (TOIL) system operates for additional hours worked.
Accountability – Hub Manager
Salary – £9.90 p/h
Person Spec for both roles
- Fall into the relevant criteria to qualify for the LTU funding
- Keen to develop your skills, knowledge and experience with a willingness to develop yourself

- All applicants MUST be residents of Glasgow
- Aged 25 years plus
- 12 months or more out of work
- not in education or training
- who would, without significant investment, struggle to secure/sustain employment
- experience additional barriers to securing employment e.g. carer, ethnic minority, disability etc.
