In December 2023, The Circle opened its Dundee city centre service, The Circle Mobility. The service provides mobility scooters and other mobility vehicles to be used across Dundee by members of the public. We have had some questions about how to access and book vehicles so we put together a guide of what you will need to know before coming to our hub at Overgate Shopping Centre.
Where is The Circle Mobility based, and how do you get there?
The Circle Mobility is a small building located just outside the back of the Overgate Shopping Centre. To get to us, take the road next to the Overgate’s back car park and turn right. You will see a small rectangular building where you can meet us. There is free car parking available for people using the Mobility service.
When is the service open?
We are physically open at The Circle Mobility Monday to Thursday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. We will look to expand our opening times in the future.

How do you book a mobility vehicle?
You can book a vehicle either by email, over the phone or in person. We will need to know your name and phone number to confirm your booking. Booking in advance is encouraged when possible to guarantee we have an available vehicle.

What do you need to do before borrowing a vehicle?
You do not need to achieve any criteria before borrowing a vehicle, but you will need to bring two forms of ID to confirm your name and address.
Once you arrive at The Circle Mobility, one of our team will ask you to complete a loan of equipment agreement. If you think you will regularly use the service, you can also sign up for our free membership to make the process quicker the next time you need to borrow a mobility vehicle.
After completing the paperwork, you will have access to the manufacturer manuals and will have to show that you can drive the vehicle safely.
How much does the service cost?
Nothing! We do accept cash and card donations to support the running of the service for those who want to support us.
How long can you borrow a vehicle for?
We currently offer daily use of our vehicles. While you will need to return to The Circle Mobility before its 4:30 pm closing time, there is no time limit to using the vehicles within opening hours.
