Social Enterprise Scotland has launched a new website and campaign to promote social enterprises to private and public sector procurement buyers.
The #BuySocialScotland services directory promotes over 100 organisations delivering social and environmental impact in communities across Scotland.
A range of corporate pledges has already come on board and committed to spending £1 million collectively with social enterprises over 2021/2022 to make their supply chain more ethical and diverse and help deliver more positive impact.
In launching the Corporate Challenge, SES will be working with corporate partners who are committing to collectively spend £1m with social enterprises in 2021/2022. With social value playing an increasing role in procurement and supply chain development, many companies recognise the key role that social enterprise organisations can play as partners.
The initiative is backed by the Scottish Government and the first pledges to sign up are Crieff Hydro, Glasgow Caledonian University, Gleneagles, Morrison Construction, PwC, and Robertson Construction. They are looking to add more companies to the campaign as they move forward and are happy to give more information to any business that would be interested in joining the initiative.
We’re proud to take part in initiatives like #BuySocialScotland that encourage businesses to partner with #SocialEnterprises.
A great way to highlight the social and environmental impact organisations like ours deliver in communities!
