Dundee’s “People’s Castle” will shine bright this winter.
Dudhope Castle will participate in Dundee by Light as we invite the public to celebrate Christmas at the castle in our Winter Wonderland.
On the 16th of December, the castle’s historic Scrimgeour Room will transform into a Winter Wonderland. With Santa’s Grotto, a station for Christmas cards and letters to Santa, hot drinks and mince pies, set against the backdrop of a spectacular castle illumination.
From 3 pm – 6 pm, the castle will be lit up in an exciting light show by Dundee By Light, who have been lighting iconic and historical buildings across Dundee this December.
To celebrate the castle’s “Glow Up”, Dundee’s social enterprise, The Circle, invites the public to the historic Scrimgeour Room and step into their Winter Wonderland from 11 am – 4 pm.
Write a letter to Santa, write some Christmas cards, or simply enjoy the warmth of a hot drink and mince pies. A family-friendly event where folks are welcome to drop into the castle from 11 am – 4 pm. Be in with a chance of winning a brand new all-in-one Dell PC worth over £500 in their raffle.
