About the Job

Your role is based within The Circle Glasgow team, you will work under the guidance of the Hub Manager across various aspects of the business. Supporting where appropriate including covering reception, helping with basic cleaning duties or office admin tasks. As this is a development role, you will learn on the job as you go. This is a real living wage placement.

Job Title – Receptionist

Location –The Circle Glasgow, 69-71 Aberdalgie Road, Easterhouse, Glasgow, G34 9HJ

Accountability – Glasgow Hub Manager

Pay – £12.60

Hours – 21 hours for 26 weeks, flexible – But ideally Tuesday – Friday 11:15 – 17:00 (30 mins break, 5.25 hours per day)

Key Responsibilities

What you will be doing.

Front of House

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at The Circle
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
  • Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings
  • Ensuring disabled access to the building where necessary.
  • Ensure all communal areas clean, tidy and replenished after each break time.

 

Essential skills, experience and qualifications.

  • You will need to be a “people person” in this role. There will be a lot of interaction with the general public so confident customer service is essential.
  • You’ll need a working knowledge of Microsoft software (Teams, OneDrive, Office, etc).
  • You will need to be confident in adhering to and, at times, enforcing regulations around Fire, Health, and safety procedures.
