Chattersense joined our community as a tenant in July 2024. They are a Glasgow-based charity that aims to create opportunities for every child to thrive through the power of play and the transformative benefits of occupational therapy. They were looking for an accessible space where they could create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children with complex needs and their families.
They are now based in our Easterhouse hub with fully refurbished and modernized facilities offering convenient access for their service users. The daily growing numbers of visitors reflect the success of Chattersense mission in the east side of Glasgow. We are delighted to be home to this fantastic organization.
We asked Chattersense’s Founder, Sharon Craighead about her experience of joining The Circle:
“At Chattersense, our work is centred on creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children with complex needs and their families. Since moving to The Circle, the support we’ve received from the staff has been nothing short of transformative. The warm, proactive reception team ensures that every family is greeted with genuine care and understanding—even when our clients may feel dysregulated or anxious. Their attentive approach not only eases the initial entry but also sets a positive tone that resonates throughout our sessions.
The commitment of The Circle staff to accommodate our unique requirements has allowed us to focus on what truly matters: delivering personalized, high-quality care. Whether it’s promptly resolving any issues or going the extra mile to ensure that every corner of the building is accessible, their efforts have been integral in fostering an atmosphere where our families feel both respected and welcome. This supportive environment is particularly impactful for families who often feel judged or unwelcome elsewhere.
Furthermore, the building’s design—emphasising wheelchair accessibility and thoughtful adaptations—reinforces The Circle’s dedication to inclusivity. Even when faced with challenges like non-functional automatic doors, every effort is made to ensure that our users are accommodated, reinforcing the message that every individual matters.

In essence, our partnership with The Circle has not only enhanced our service delivery but has also built a community of care and collaboration. The Circle’s staff play a crucial role in our mission, making it possible for us to deliver the compassionate, individualized support that our children and families deserve.
We are planning to develop a fully accessible, wheelchair-friendly adult soft play area, and once again, The Circle’s commitment to helping us achieve this ambition deserves recognition. The staff consistently go above and beyond to support us and our families, creating an environment where everyone feels welcome and included. This sense of being embraced makes a profound difference, helping our families feel safe, nurtured, and valued.
We plan to develop a fully accessible, wheelchair-friendly adult soft play area, and once again, The Circle’s commitment to helping us achieve this vision is truly commendable. The staff consistently go out of their way to support us and our families, making a significant difference by ensuring everyone feels welcomed, safe, and nurtured.”
