"The commitment of The Circle staff to accommodate our unique requirements has allowed us to focus on what truly matters"

As I write this introduction for our latest Social Impact Report, it’s a time of reflection, change and optimism. With new challenges always ahead in the current climate, stabilization has been a priority for The Circle, while maintaining the quality of services, staff retention and support, and keeping our minds on the future. Recognising the ongoing challenges in the funding landscape, we have concentrated on trading to allow us to continue supporting our amazing community. We are all aware of the current economic pressures on organisations; nowhere more than in the sector we support. However, with strong leadership and a clear direction, we are confident that we can not only survive but thrive.

I want to thank our staff, board, volunteers, funders and supporters. We could not make the impact we do without you. After changes to our board and leadership last year, we want to thank our outgoing board members for their contributions and our Founder, Kirsty Thomson, who built The Circle into the thriving social enterprise it is now. Right now, we are looking ahead with excitement and will continue to work outside our comfort zone to develop our services and support our community.

This report demonstrates the reason for the existence of The Circle, and I am proud to share our work with you.

Campbell Archibald, Chair of The Circle

"One thing that really impressed me during my time at The Circle was their commitment to assisting those looking to get back into work.
